Mahmood “@mooodini”  Hosseini b. 1978 Tehran-Iran 

BFA Painting and MFA Illustration from fine art university of Tehran. He researches pop cultural archetypes and tweaks them and put them into the context of contemporary human life.

In his practice, he employs symbols with repetition and rhythm existing elements in vintage objects to give them a function for poking to elements on contemporary human life. In his work, objects function as a tool to respond or poke to our archetypes of belief.

In 2017 he immigrates to Canada, since then he is working as an individual artist. I worked on public art projects in Toronto like Bell Box Murals, OTB, STEPS, Clarkson Village BIA, and Collective Arts Brewing. In 2021 he awarded in STEPS Public Art I HeART Main Street Challenge, presented in partnership with RBC Royal Bank. He has been in many group show in Iran and a group show in Canada in 2021 and will have a solo show at TOAF 2022.
